Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli receives huge applause from fans during match 19 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match between the two teams took place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Even though the match was played at the home of Rajasthan Royals, Virat Kohli was the crowd’s favourite. The batsman received incredible support from the fans and made sure to give them everything to cheer on as he oozed his class with the bat at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

The love for Virat Kohli among Jaipur fans was such that one of the spectators risked his life to meet his idol. The fan breached security and ran to the ground only to hug Virat Kohli. The batsman, however, gave him a good salute before security took him away.

The incident took place during the second innings of the game between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Virat Kohli was playing inside the circle when a fan came running from the stands and hugged him. The video of the incident went viral on the Internet within minutes.

Coming into the game, Virat Kohli once again single-handedly carried the Royal Challengers Bengaluru batting line-up. The batsman continued his golden touch in the league and made sure to take his team to the competitive total on the board in a game where the rest of his teammates failed to get going.

Virat Kohli scored a vital century, his eighth in IPL, and took his team to a total of 183 runs. The batsman finished the innings of unbeaten 113 runs off 72 balls, batting at a strike rate of over 156, and also hit 12 fours and 4 sixes in his innings.

However, their effort went in vain as Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost the game. Jos Buttler exudes class with the bat and closed a dizzying century. Captain Sanju Samson (69) contributed a brave half-century as Rajasthan Royals chased the tarter with 6 wickets in hand.

Virat Kohli spoke about his century against Rajasthan Royals. He revealed that before the innings they had a target of 195 runs in mind, but after Faf du Plessis got out, he needed to bat until the end. The big hitter also talked about his plans and said that he wants to keep the pitcher guessing. In statements to the stations, he stated:

“Our initial target was 195, but then we decided that if one of us or Faf got out, we had to bat till the end. We got a boost and got 185, which I think is an effective total. If we get the change of pace, what if It’s true, it will be a difficult chase. I’m not going into it with premeditation.

“I was 12 for 10, I don’t want to be too aggressive, I want to keep the pitcher guessing. They want me to work hard and get out. It’s just experience and maturity. Playing the conditions and having the game ready. . There doesn’t seem to be any hope that it will be “The same thing. The balls didn’t come out that bad, I felt like you couldn’t get under the bat.”

Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered their fourth defeat in IPL 2024. They will next be seen in action when they face Mumbai Indians on April 11.
