West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder has issued a warning to the England team ahead of the upcoming ENG vs WI Test matches. Jason Holder also praised his young team that won the Test match against Australia earlier this year.
Jason Holder was not part of the West Indies tour of Australia in 2024. The Caribbean side managed a shock 1-1 draw in the series to shock the Australians on home soil. Notably, the West Indies lost the first match but made a fabulous comeback in the second match.
They won a Test match in Australia after 1998 and made a milestone by beating Australia for the first time in the 21st century. Also, the Caribbean team led by K Brathwaite defeated Australia at their fortress The Gabba where they are known to not lose any series.

I miss Test cricket and look forward to it: Jason Holder
Now, the Caribbean team will be looking for another win in England and this time they will have their star all-rounder Jason Holder back in the team. Speaking about the England vs. West Indies Test series, Holder said that he misses Test cricket and is looking forward to it.
“I was really happy for the lads when they did what they did in Australia. It gave me renewed energy to be back in the group and be part of something special again. I’ve missed Test cricket and I’m looking forward to it,” Holder told Sky Sports.
Holder also issued a warning to the England team that the West Indies will be hoping to win the series with a special talent on their side.
“It is important [to build on Australia]”I think the lads have learnt a lot from that. We went out to win this series. We have some special talent in the dressing room. It’s just about playing solid cricket and having belief. We’ve been doing some really positive things over the last few months and as a young team the main thing is to keep learning,” the all-rounder added.

There’s no better time than now to beat England – Holder issues warning
Jason Holder, who last featured in the T20I series against Australia in February on the same tour, is also aiming to beat England during the series. According to him, it is the best time to smash Ben Stokes and Co.
“We won one game last time and we want to build on that, and two would be even better on this trip. There’s no better time for us to beat England than now. I think it would be a great achievement and nothing this team can fall short of,” he concluded.
The first Test match between England and West Indies begins on July 10 at Lord’s. The series consists of three matches, scheduled for July 18 and 26. The campaign between England and West Indies will only include one Test series.
