Former India batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu believes Virat Kohli will make a notable comeback in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Virat Kohli, who had an exceptional performance in IPL 2024, is not even close to the form he had on the flat pitches of India. In the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in the US and West Indies, Kohli looked like a shadow of himself. He scored a few runs during the Indian team’s first Super 8 match against Afghanistan, but that was still not enough by the standards he had set for himself.

Later tonight, when India takes on Bangladesh in their second group match, Virat Kohli will try to overcome his poor form. The 35-year-old will hope to continue the momentum he gained against Rashid Khan’s Afghanistan on June 20. If the Men in Blue are to win the competition for the first time since 2007, then Virat’s form is crucial.

Virat Kohli has always been a great player and loves to show up and deliver when it matters most and when the odds are against him. No one should forget that Kohli has been the highest run-getter in the last two ICC white-ball events – Cricket World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2022.

While he may not end up as the top scorer this year, he will surely be able to put in good performances in the knockout matches in the future.

While speaking to Star Sports recently, Navjot Singh Sidhu was full of praise for Virat Kohli for the kind of player he has been in his career. He mainly shed light on the drought that the batting stalwart is going through.

In his ever poetic way of speaking, Navjot Singh Sidhu spoke about his opinion on Virat Kohli’s pain over not being able to perform in the WC. As we all know, Kohli loves to perform and prove himself on the big stages and shows his best during the World Cups.

But in this World T20, due to his poor form, Sidhu believes that Virat Kohli will be very hurt. The former leadoff hitter said that when someone of his stature is not able to show power, then he gets hurt.

Navjot Singh Sidhu feels that Virat Kohli getting hurt deep inside is a very good thing as people only learn from setbacks. Sidhu believes that Kohli is such a mentally strong person that he would practice rigorously to ensure that he overcomes his flaws.

“When a powerful man doesn’t show his power, he gets hurt. And he should even feel the pain. You learn from setbacks, right? So I think Virat Kohli is so mentally strong that he wants to overcome his mistakes through rigorous measures. practice. And practice makes a man perfect.” – said Navjot Singh Sidhu via Star Sports.
