MI to face GT in opening game of IPL 2024
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Gujarat Titans in their first match of IPL 2024. The MI vs GT match will take place on Sunday, March 24 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rohit Sharma, who struggled to put up a good show last season, will be all set to make a comeback in IPL 2024. Recently, Sharma scored a century against England in the Test series and looked in incredible form.
However, this will be the first time in many years that he will not lead MI in IPL 2024. He captained the team since the 2013 season and led the franchise to five IPL titles. Last season, the men in blue made it to the playoffs but lost the Qualifying 2 match to the Gujarat Titans.
