The AUS vs NZ series continues with the two-match Test series after the three-match T20I series. The first test will be played in Wellington from February 29 to March 4. The match starts at 3:30 am IST.

Australia will be directed by Pat Cummins. The Australians cleanly swept the Kiwis in the T20I series under Mitchell Marsh heading into this series. They occupy third place in the WTC points table. The Australians swept Pakistan and drew a Test series against the West Indies before this series.

Cummins has all its experienced players back in the Test side. David Warner announced his retirement from Test cricket after the series against Pakistan. He retired from ODI cricket after the World Cup and only plays T20I cricket.

Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon form the bowling core. Steve Smith’s experiment at the top after Warner’s withdrawal has not produced results so far.
