Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have faced an injury scare in the ongoing match against Gujarat Titans (GT). Pace sensation Mayank Yadav left the field with some discomfort in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Mayak Yadav, who has been breathing fire in the ongoing IPL 2024, did not look in good form in the ongoing game against the Gujarat Titans. The fast bowler came into the attack in the fourth over in the second innings at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium and seemed to struggle.

Mayank Yadav, who has been consistently clocking 155 kmph in the ongoing IPL 2024, also looked down with pace. The fast player clocked between 137 and 140 km/h, which attracted a lot of attention. He also did not get his lines and lengths right as he crossed three boundaries.

To make matters worse for Lucknow Super Giants, Mayank Yadav walked off the field. The physiotherapists were also there and took him out of the park with them. Things were not looking very good for him, especially when he was struggling to make deliveries above 150 kmph.

The then on-air commentators mentioned that Mayank Yadav suffered a lateral strain, which is why he left the field. There is no certainty whether he will return to the field to bowl for the Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing match against the Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The Lucknow Super Giants management would hope that things are not serious. Mayank Yadav has been a trump card for captain KL Rahul in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The fast bowler in the last two games has completely tilted the game in his team’s final over with the ferocious pace of he.

Mayank Yadav made his debut against Punjab Kings and made an immediate impact as he returned with figures of 3/27 and won the Man of the Match award on debut. He then put in an even better performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He recorded figures of 3/14, winning another Man of the Match.

Coming to the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, the KL Rahul-led team posted a total of 163 runs on the board. Marcus Stonis (58) scored a vital half-century in the middle while Nicholas Pooran (32*) finished the innings on a high.

Lucknow Super Giants change things with the ball

Defending the target, Lucknow Super Giants did not get off to a great start as Sai Sudharsan (31) and Shubman Gill (19) batted well for their team early on. The duo added 54 runs for the opening partnership and put pressure on the home team.

But after that, Lucknow Super Giants bounced back incredibly well. Yash Thakur drew first blood for his team by eliminating Shubman Gill. After that, Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya spun the net around the batsmen and left the opposition reeling at 61/4. Now they would hope to close things out pretty quickly and win the game.
