Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 40th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) on Wednesday (April 24). The match will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Both teams are currently in the bottom half of the IPL 2024 points table and cannot afford any more mistakes if they look to qualify for the playoffs. With three wins in eight games, DC is currently in eighth place in the points table. On the other hand, GT is in sixth place with four wins and as many losses.
In their last game, DC suffered a crushing 67-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad after conceding a mammoth total of 266. GT, on the other hand, recorded a three-wicket win over Punjab Kings while chasing 143.

The next meeting will be the second between both teams this season. The first match took place last week and DC won it very easily. DC defeated GT by a paltry total of 89 runs and became the first team to defeat the Gujarat-based team by less than 100 runs in the IPL. With the bat, DC chased down the total in less than nine overs. DC will be looking for another victory over GT, while the latter will look to make the most of their winning momentum.
