Delhi Capitals all-rounder Axar Patel took perfect revenge on Jos Buttler in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match between both teams is already underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
After setting a massive target of 222 runs for Rajasthan Royals to chase, Delhi Capitals are making timely strikes with the ball. The Rishabh Pant-led team is making sure to contribute wickets at regular intervals and stay in the game, despite the strong batting of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson.
Axar Patel has been the vital cog behind Delhi Capitals taking wickets at regular intervals. He provided his team with Jos Butter’s crucial breakthrough and pulled off his revenge perfectly. The keeper-batsman hit him for a big six and then made a sensational comeback by taking the wicket of him.
Axar Patel bowled a full length delivery from outside off. Jos Buttler threw his bat but he didn’t do it well. He got the inside edge and the ball crashed into the stumps to send the batsman packing at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Rishabh Pant was elated after Buttler’s dismissal.

Jos Buttler could not make much impact with the bat in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals. The keeper-batsman scored just 19 runs off just 17 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 111 and also scored 2 fours and 1 six in his innings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
With their wicket, Rajasthan Royals lost their second scalp and were reduced to 67/2 in the powerplay. Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal fell in the first over of the game. He hit four on the first ball of the innings and then got out on the second.
Rajasthan Royals are currently second in the points table with 8 wins under their belt. They would be eager to win the game and seal the playoff spot. If they manage to win today, they will officially qualify and move up to first place.

Riyan Parag, however, could not continue the outing he had. The batsman died to Rasikh Salam, who bowled a magnificent delivery to send the batsman packing. The pacer bowled the back of his hand with a slower delivery that hit the top of the off-stump.
