The incident occurred during Shadab’s visit to Cardiff, where England and Pakistan were to play the third T20I of their ongoing four-match T20I series, but it was canceled due to heavy rain on May 28. This affected his preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup. 2024 in the West Indies and the United States.

Well, Shadab, known for his dynamic skills with both bat and ball, has been struggling for fitness of late and went wicketless in the last two T20Is against England and Ireland. Furthermore, his economy rate has increased above 12 runs per over, causing concern among fans ahead of the main event.

Meanwhile, the recent encounter with the fan left Shadab uncomfortable but embarrassed as the Pakistani supporter asked him a direct question about his recent performances with the ball. While he is experiencing a dip in form ahead of the mega event, she expressed her disappointment over how the spinner is losing runs in the ongoing T20I series against England.

Meanwhile, England currently lead the ongoing four-match T20I series 1-0 after securing a 23-run win over Pakistan in the second T20I held at Edgbaston after the first match was abandoned in Leeds due to rain, followed by game three as well in Cardiff. They will play the T20I final on May 30 at The Oval.

Pakistan to start T20 WC 2024 campaign against United States

This T20I series is the last bilateral encounter for the England and Pakistan teams before embarking on their journey towards the T20 World Cup 2024. Defending champions England will begin the defense of their title against Scotland on June 4 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

The England cricket team is qualified with Australia, Oman and Namibia in Group B of the T20 World Cup 2024, with matches taking place in Barbados and Antigua. On the other hand, Pakistan is placed alongside India, Ireland, Canada and the United States in Group A of the ICC mega tournament.

The Men in Green will kick off their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign against co-hosts United States on June 6 in Texas. They will then face arch-rivals India in the much-awaited tournament match on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
