After Shreyas Iyer became another Indian player to get the IPL 2024 title in his kitty, Jio Cinema shared an interesting post on social media to congratulate him. Jio Cinema shared an old post of Shreyas Iyer where he wrote to his friend about his exam fears during his graduation.
Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to clinch the IPL 2024 title. KKR were hungry for their third title since 2024 when they won the title with Gautam Gambhir. In IPL 2024, KKR reached the final but failed to win the trophy.
In IPL 2022, they named Shreyas Iyer as their skipper. He led the team during the season but KKR failed to make it to the playoffs. He missed the previous season due to injury. However, with the addition of Gautam Gambhir as a mentor and Shreyas Iyer as skipper, KKR pursued their dream of winning another IPL title.
Jio Cinema shares Shreyas Iyer’s old post
Jio Cinema shared an old post of Shreyas Iyer in which he wrote about his exams in a post. During his graduation in May 2015, Iyer tweeted that he had not prepared for his exams. Jio Cinema shared the tweet photo and wrote, “Look what a champion you have become.” Take a look at the photo below.
“I want to complete my B.com. To be honest, I haven’t had time to look at my books and my exams are just around the corner,” he had tweeted.

We played like invincibles in IPL 2024: Shreyas Iyer
After winning the title, the KKR captain said that they played like invincibles. Notably, Kolkata Knight Riders lost only 3 games in IPL 2024 and topped the points table. For comparison, Gujarat Titans topped the points table in the last two seasons but had lost 4 games against each other.
“Absolutely complete. This is what we demand of the team and each individual. They rose to the occasion and the feeling is difficult to express. (The wait) was much longer than the game,” he said.
“We played like invincibles throughout the season. There is a lot to appreciate right now. It is a pleasure, the acting has been impeccable at all times. I’m running out of words right now. “We have been tremendous since the first game and today we have taken a step forward,” he added.

Lucky to bowl first in IPL 2024 final: Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer also said that he is lucky to be able to bowl in the final of IPL 2024. The Chidambaram Stadium usually hosts the teams that bat first. Out of 6 games in the international T20I, the teams that batted first won 5 matches at the stadium.
“All we asked of ourselves was to support each other whatever the situation. The game could have gone either way. “They have played phenomenal cricket (SRH) all season.”
“We were lucky to play first and every situation turned out in our favor. Thanks to SRH for the way they played. I hope to play more competitive cricket. (At Starc) That’s when all the big players stand up,” the KKR captain said before the season.
Meanwhile, IPL 2024 is over and all the Indian players will be seen next in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament begins on June 1 in the West Indies and the United States.
