Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is not a happy man after seeing India’s performance in the ICC World Test Championships thus far. After the end of day 2, India were 151 for 5 still behind Australia’s first innings total of 469 for 318 runs.

The Indian bowlers brought them back into the game by picking up seven wickets. However, the Indian batsmen could not support the good work of the Indian bowlers. Just when they needed to hit well, they didn’t. Rohit Sharma’s struggle with the bat continues, while Kohli and Pujara couldn’t keep their nerve in the big game.

Speaking to Star Sports after the game on the second day, Harbhajan was asked to review the performance of both teams and said that Australia was the team that was on top in this test match.

“There are not two opinions about it. They have dismissed five batsmen for 151 runs. We will definitely say that Australia is on top in this game. I feel like the balance has tipped towards Australia on both days. India won the toss but they haven’t won a single session after that.” Bhajji said.

He further said that despite India knocking out Australia in the second session, they failed to have a session in their favor.

Australia have dominated so far: Harbhajan Singh

“Today’s morning session was pretty good for India, but we can’t say we won because they scored close to 100 runs there too, although we did get wickets. Both days of play Australia have dominated so far.” Harbhajan said.

He concluded by praising the Australian bowling attack for bowling good length and line and bowling the full ball. The Indian bowlers, on the other hand, were on the shorter side with the ball and did not play too much with the Yorkers.

“The way they bowled, the line and the length were absolutely perfect. They threw the ball up. When you get lbw and you pitch at this pitch, it means your length was complete, whether you’re talking about (Scott) Boland, (Pat) Cummins or (Cameron) Green, whichever pitcher he pitched.” Harbhajan concluded by saying.
