Devon Conway, who won the Man of the Match title in the 2023 IPL final, praised Gujarat Titans batsman Sai Sudharsan for his outstanding performance. Conway believes that Sudharsan had an outstanding performance that contributed considerably to the team’s victory.
Conway led the charge in the second innings of the game, hitting 47 runs off just 25 balls to set the tone on Tuesday, May 30.

According to Conway, Sudharsan’s involvement was remarkable and he had a considerable impact on the Gujarat Titans’ scoring. Sudharsan’s superb batting talents, which were on full display in the final, surely played a vital influence in the team’s good scoring.

Ambati Rayudu’s cameo didn’t seem like much, but it certainly changed the game. So yeah, I was surprised, but at the end of the day, I’m not worried about winning or losing individual awards. Winning trophies together as a group is my dream.”

Conway’s innings were supported by the other CSK batsmen going wild in the final match. Ravindra Jadeja hit a six and a four on the last two balls of the match to clinch the record-equalling fifth IPL title for CSK.

“Culture is situated at the top” – Devon Conway

It is commonly known that the success of the franchise is due in large part to high-level leadership and management. Devon Conway, a Chennai Super Kings cricketer, recently commented on this, stating that “the culture is at the top”.
“Culture is set right at the top. There is a family atmosphere. Everyone goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Last year they organized a wedding for us with a South Indian theme. It was a big surprise to me, I had no idea how much was invested in that, especially a biobubble. Kim [Conway’s wife] joined via Zoom.” Devon Conway said.
“They arranged amazing decoration, great food, traditional clothes and music. It was a fun night like no other. And everyone played a part in it: the ones I knew, the ones I was just getting to know. That creates good vibes and a sense of belonging.” Devon Conway said in an interview with ESPNCricinfo.
“On the cricket front, there is continuity. The players know that if they are being picked, they will be backed, no matter what. They don’t care about what happens if they are crushed for 50 runs in four overs or take three single-digit scores in a row. There is room for players to improve, flourish and improvise without that added pressure or scrutiny. It makes the players feel confident about what they are going to do.” Devon Conway added.
