A massive update has arrived regarding Zimbabwe International and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Blessing Muzarabani. In a latest announcement made by the Mohsin Naqvi-led Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the pacer has been banned from participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for a couple of years.
PCB banned Blessing Muzarabani for two seasons from PSL as he withdrew from the 2026 PSL season to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for KKR. Muzarabani was set to play for the PSL team Islamabad United, but ahead of the 2026 PSL season, he opted out of the tournament to join the IPL team.
PCB issued an official statement on the Muzarabani Blessing
“Professionalism in franchise-based leagues requires that participants act with transparency and consistency. Entering into a conflictual commitment while a prior binding agreement subsists represents a departure from the expected standards of the game.“PCB said in a statement.
“This conduct, if not addressed, erodes the reliability of transactions and the trust that franchisees, regulators and stakeholders place in professional commitments. The two-year ban reflects the seriousness of the violation,” the statement further reads.
