It has been pouring rain in Kolkata as the Shreyas Iyer-led team has been breathing fire with the bat. Amidst all this, there was also a moment of seriousness that made even Kolkata Knight Riders’ mentor Gautam Gambhir angry after his team failed to make a run.

During the last ball of the 14th over, Rahul Chahar bowled a short delivery outside off. Andre Russell cut to cover, where Ashutosh Sharma made the save. he threw the ball away from Jitesh Sharma and the batsmen took the opportunity to get a run and sealed the single.

However, umpire Anil Chaudhary denied Kolkata Knight Riders’ single. The umpire stated that the ball was dead when the batters singled and therefore the run was not counted. This infuriated KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir as he stood up from his seat and chatted with a referee on the sidelines.
