Former international cricketers Wasim Jaffer, Varun Aaron, Mitchell McClenaghan and Tom Moody have predicted the winner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) will clash in the summit clash of the ongoing tournament.

SRH captain Pat Cummins acknowledged the team’s successful run but remained realistic. The 31-year-old pacer praised the players for SunRisers Hyderabad’s success in reaching the final.

“It would be great (to win the title), but the streak will stop at some point. It’s been a fantastic couple of years, but I haven’t captained any T20 cricket team before this series. So I’m not quite sure what wait. It’s a pretty fast pace.” Cummins said.

“We have quite an experienced bowling line-up, including (Jaydev) Unadkat and Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar). Also, a lot of youngsters have come forward and won games for us on their own, like Nitish (Reddy) and Abhishek (Sharma). We also have guys who have been away from the Indian set-up, but they have been fantastic. That has been the story of our team.” he added.

Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched their first IPL title in 2016 by defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a thrilling final. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders clinched two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir.
