KL Rahul shared his love for Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of Lucknow Super Giants’ upcoming clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2024. KL Rahul said that playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium is always special for him. RCB will take on LSG at home in Bengaluru.

The match will take place on Tuesday, April 2. Faf du Plessis leads Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2024. KL Rahul is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants. However, he played as an impact player in the last game due to an inconvenience. As a result, Nicholas Pooran made it to the toss and led the team in the match.

Lucknow Super Giants have played 2 matches in IPL 2024, winning one and losing another. LSG lost to Rajasthan Royals by 20 runs in their first game. However, they bounced back by crushing Punjab Kings in their last match by 21 runs. With 2 points, LSG is in sixth place in the points table.

Playing at Chinnaswamy stadium is always special for me: KL Rahul

Speaking ahead of their clash against RCB in Bengaluru, KL Rahul said that playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium is always special for him as it is his home. He also said that the atmosphere at the Bengaluru stadium is electric.

“Playing at the Chinnaswamy stadium is always special for me. It’s home to me, the atmosphere here is always electric. I come to Bengaluru with a lot of love. My journey as a cricketer started here and there are a lot of memories attached to this ground,” said KL Rahul.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul took part in the practice sessions ahead of the RCB vs LSG match. Rahul faced a problem in the previous game. However, it looks like he will be part of the match against RCB. Check out the video below.

KL Rahal came out cheap in the last game

KL Rahul failed to put up a good show in the previous clash against Punjab Kings. The right-hand batsman lost his wicket for 15 runs. However, he had a better show in the previous clash against Rajasthan Royals, achieving a knock of 58 runs. However, his slow 44-ball innings did not prove fruitful as LSG lost the match by 20 runs in the end.

The Lucknow franchise beat Punjab Kings by 21 runs in their previous match of IPL 2024. Batting first, they posted a mammoth 199-8 scoreline with crucial knocks from Quinton de Kock (54), Nicholas Pooran (42) and Krunal Pandya (43*). Later, they stopped Punjab Kings at 178-5 to claim their first win of IPL 2024.

In head to head meetings in the Indian Premier League, RCB and LSG have faced each other in 4 games since IPL 2022. RCB won 4 matches while LSG won 1 game. However, LSG won the only match between both the teams at the Chinnaswamy stadium.
