Starc, before praising the IPL as the best franchise league, stated that “it is always a bit of a circus” and with that he could be trying to degrade the tournament to which he returns for the first time since 2018.

A bunch of guys I certainly haven’t met or been able to work with before,” Starc said via Cricket.com.au.

Michell Starc stated that IPL 2024 will be a good challenge for him but did not reveal that he will try to gain some very good playing time before the ICC T20 World Cup at the end of June. Starc then said that it is a bit of a circus playing in the top T20 league and that he is looking forward to the season.

“A couple of guys I have, international guys I’ve played against and met up with. Yes, it will be exciting. It’s definitely a new challenge. But yeah, it will be exciting. It’s always a bit of a circus when it comes to the best T20 league in the world. So yeah, I’m looking forward to it,” concluded Mitchell Starc.
