Mumbai Indians take on RCB in match 25 of IPL 2024 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The match starts at 7.30 pm IST. After three consecutive defeats, Mumbai finally tasted victory at home against Capitals of Delhi.
Mumbai Indians piled up 235/5 with the bat and their bowlers defended the target. Everything seemed to have fallen into place for Mumbai Indians, who finally had a clinical game.
Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan got off to a good start with the bat and then their power batsmen Tim David and Romario Shepherd added the finishing touches.
At Wankhede, where the pitch even has bounce and carry, it is their pacers who will have to make a big impact. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Gerald Coetzee and Akash Madhwal will be key.

It will be interesting to see, after a clinical win at home, if Mumbai Indians make any changes to their playing XI. It is very possible that they will play with the same team that played for them in the last game.

David will come in at six. He finally found some form against DC as he hit 45 off 21 balls hitting over 200. Mumbai would hope to continue the form from him.

Shepherd will be in at seven. He changed the game for Mumbai by scoring 32 off 10 balls for his team. Before the season, he was traded from Lucknow Super Giants. Romario Shepherd made an instant impact after being named among the Mumbai Indians playing 11 in the last match.
Muhammad the Prophet
Nabi, the Afghanistan all-rounder, can take the eighth spot. His batting at eighth gives MI’s batting line-up good depth and three all-rounders in the top seven. He can be an ideal complement to Piyush Chawla.
Piyush Chawla
Chawla can come in at nine. He can also throw the ball if necessary. So far this season, he has picked up two wickets in four games. He got 22 wickets last season.
jasprit bumrah

Akash Madhwal was the Impact Player for Mumbai Indians, playing 11 in the last game. He could also be used in the same role in this match. He ran out in the last match, but MI backed him up. He got 14 wickets last season and left his mark.
