We need 15 wickets and we must aim for 20 – Shan Masood

In the post-match programme, Shan Masood emphasized the importance of scoring quicker, suggesting that could have made the difference in the lead. Masood praised debutant players Aamer Jamal and Khurram Shehzad for their performances.

“Look, when you come to these shores, you look for progress. If you had told us that Australia will play 110 overs and we will play 100, I would have accepted it. We could have scored faster and 60-70 runs would have made the difference in maintaining that lead at a considerable level,” Masood said.

“Discipline is something we would learn from the Australian attack. We took 15 wickets and must aim for 20. It is never easy when you have two debutants in a four-seamer attack. They have the first-class record and many overs under their belt. Aamer’s pace was decent and Khurram’s accuracy was good. We will take the positive and they did quite well,” he added.
