PAK vs IRE: Watch: Shaheen Afridi’s strange fielding costs Pakistan four runs against Ireland

Every now and then, Pakistan players become a laughing stock for their poor fielding and the latest player to commit a howler on the field is none other than Shaheen Afridi.

Pakistan’s spearhead made a rare error in the field that cost his team four runs. The incident took place in the third T20I against Ireland in Dublin. It was the twelfth over of Ireland’s innings when Imad Wasim was bowling Lorcan Tucker and Shaheen Afridi was fielding at long-on.

Wasim bowled a pitched delivery outside off stump and Tucker bowled it towards long-on. The ball landed well in front of Shaheen Afridi and was heading towards him at a good height. It should have been an easy save for the former Pakistan T20I captain. However, Shaheen Afridi ended up overflowing to his right and the ball went to the boundary.
