The World Cup will be played in a round-robin format with all teams playing each other once in the league stage. The top four teams at the end of the round-robin stage will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the two subsequent semifinals will play the final, where the champion will be crowned.

The Men in Green have won the World Cup just once in 1992. Since then, they have reached the final just once in 1999, losing the final to Australia. Since then, the Men in Green have yet to reach an over-50 World Cup final. In the T20 World Cup, they lost to Australia in the 2021 final and lost to England in the 2022 final.

The World Cup will be played for 46 days and in 10 venues in India. Along with Ahmedabad, the other host cities include Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune. This is the first time India has hosted a World Cup event unanimously. Previously, in 1987, 1996 and 2011, they co-hosted along with The Men in Green, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The India-Pakistan clash will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The venue will hold over 120,000 spectators making the game a great occasion.
After playing India on October 15, The Men in Green will play in countries including Australia, Afghanistan, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh and South Africa.
