Preparations for the next edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2024) are in full development. The tournament will be played starting February 13 and will be the eighth edition of the league.

The player draft for the PSL 2024 is scheduled to take place on December 13 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Before the draft, all teams released their list of retained players. All teams except Multan Sultans have retained 8 players while Multan retained 7.

Many amazing exchanges took place this time as well. Few of the big names were traded and it’s fair to say it will be an interesting season to watch. Shan Masood and Hasan Ali will play for Karachi Kings in PSL 2024.

While Naseem Shah and Imad Wasim moved to Islamabad United. Rilee Rossouw, Mohammad Wasim Jnr and Abrar Ahmed were transferred to Quetta Gladiators while Multan Sultans acquired the services of Iftikhar Ahmed.

On the other hand, some of the big names Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik were retained by their respective teams.

Islamabad United: Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah (both Platinum), Imad Wasim (Mentor) and Azam Khan (both Diamond), Faheem Ashraf (Brand Ambassador), Alex Hales and Colin Munro (all Gold), Rumman Raees (successful demotion request in Silver).

Sultans of Multan: Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed (both Platinum), Khushdil Shah and Usama Mir (both Diamond), Abbas Afridi (Gold), Ihsanullah (Brand Ambassador, Silver), Faisal Akram (Emerging).
