RCB vs SRH Match Prediction

The RCB vs SRH IPL 2024 match will be played on Monday, April 15, starting at 7:30 pm IST. Both the teams face each other for the first time in IPL 2024 as it marks almost the halfway point of the tournament.

RCB vs SRH Team Analysis

Royal challengers from Bangalore

The team has now lost five of the six games have played so far this season. Their only win so far was against Punjab Kings at home. In every game they lost, their players were taken by many. In their last loss against MI, they failed to defend 196. Every bowler leaked runs with an economy of 10+.

Captain Faf du Plessis was left speechless while trying to justify the reasons for RCB’s failure so far this season. His batsmen have done a good job so far, however, his bowling is perhaps the weakest in the tournament.

Sunrise Hyderabad

SRH won their previous game against Punjsb KIngs as they were able to defend 182 at Mullanpur. Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma gave them a score but they managed to weather the storm. Their batting has the depth and their bowling has the quality to challenge RCB.

They have won only two of the last five matches against RCB. However, they can take advantage of RCB’s current form, which has been terrible.

RCB vs SRH Key Factors

Field conditions

The Chinnaswamy course has always been a high scoring venue. So far three matches have been played at this venue, two of which have been won by chasing.

The ground has a dew impact that allows the chasing team to have an advantage in the second inning. With big hitters on both sides, this match has all the makings of a high-scoring matchup.

Form and fitness

The form of the RCB players has been terrible in the first few games so far. Runs have been leaked from both ends and changes within the XI have not worked out so far.

Karn Shama has remained on the bench as a leg specialist. The use of Will Jacks and Glenn Maxwell does not bode well. The batting depends heavily on Virat Kohli, although DK got some runs in the last match against MI.

SRH has found players in almost every game who have defended their team. In the last match, it was Nitish Kumar Reddy. The bowlers also acted unanimously and defended the totals.

Regarding his fitness, Glenn Maxwell is ruled out for the upcoming match against SRH as he suffered a finger injury in the match against MI. There are no injury concerns for SRH, who have rotated his XI well so far.

Tactical insight

Faf du Plessis’ tactical acumen has been questionable so far. He simply allowed MI’s batsmen and especially SKY and Ishan Kishan to dominate them in the last game. He hasn’t attacked enough as a captain.

Pat Cummins, has led SRH well so far. In the last game against PBKS, he rotated his bowlers well as they successfully defended the target of 182. So far, he has taken six wickets in five games.
