Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Rinku Singh is on fire tonight as he has now made an impact on the field after fighting his way all the way for the Knight Riders.
Just when Lucknow Super Giants were looking to settle on the batting pair between captain Rishabh Pant and opener Aiden Markram, a moment of magic from Rinku Singh helped the three-time champions bounce back in the contest.
Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, struggled to score runs at the start of their innings, but Rinku Singh, who spent some time at the crease later on, helped the Knights at the death, forming a 60+ partnership for the eighth wicket with Sunil Narine.
Rinku Singh’s stunning effort provides game-saving breakthrough for KKR
For the Kolkata Knight Riders, whenever the term ‘saving the game’ has been used, the man has been Rinku Singh, who has stepped up for them. Having demonstrated it on several occasions before, he did so in the last game against Rajasthan Royals towards the end of the innings.
On the other hand, he did a remarkable job in the field by making a spectacular catch to dismiss Aiden Markram, who was looking to settle in the innings. With such a small total, KKR cannot afford to create partnerships, and Rinku was most responsible for that breakthrough.
Trying to assist in the length outside the field, Aiden Markram failed to get the lift on that occasion, and Rinku, despite not being one of the tallest on the field, took the catch, kept it in play and then returned to complete the catch safely.

Sunil Narine dismisses Rishabh Pant and gives KKR a chance to bounce back in the game
After Aiden Markram’s wicket fell when Cameron Green struck in his second over, Sunil Narine again dismissed Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant for the first time in IPL history.
Pant sent him to defend the first ball, and Narine responded with a tighter and longer drive, but the LSG captain had no intention of holding back. While attempting a reverse sweep, the ball deflected slightly off his gloves and was caught sharply by goalkeeper Tim Seifert.
The goalkeeper forced the captain to go for review and when they challenged the on-field umpire’s decision, the TV umpire reversed the decision and ruled out Rishabh Pant.
Varun Chakravarthy’s defensive approach produced crucial wicket for the West Indian left-hander
Varun Chakravarthy, the player of the match from Kolkata Knight Riders’ previous games against Rajasthan Royals, had gone for a run until he stepped forward with a new strategy against the West Indian left-hander who has been looking for touch all this season.
Nicholas Pooran has had the support of the Lucknow Super Giants management; However, he has not yet shot in this edition of the competition. After hitting a six off Chakravarthy, he played three dot balls before falling into the trap set by the leggie, where he was forced to sharply clip a ball well outside off stump while maintaining a tight field in a caught position.
