SRH vs LSG: Watch – Lance Klusener slaps Marcus Stoinis in front of the entire LSG team

Lucknow Super Giants assistant coach Lance Klusener went all out to motivate his players for the recently concluded match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

It was a crucial match for Lucknow Super Giants after their heavy defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous outing. The KL Rahul-led team ended up losing the game by 98 runs in their own backyard. After Kolkata Knight Riders amassed a massive total of 235 runs, LSG were bowled out for just 137 runs.

The defeat not only left them out of the top four in the points table, but also ruined their net performance rating. And in order for the players to give their best against SRH, Lance Klusener decided to motivate them with an animated speech just before the start of the match.

The former South African player stood in the middle of the team meeting and was seen giving an animated speech to the players. The LSG players were clearly taken aback by Lance Klusener’s speech and Marcus Stoinis couldn’t contain his laughter. Lance Klusener was then seen playfully slapping the Australian before continuing his speech.

Lance Klusener’s speech, however, did not make much difference as SRH thrashed the Lucknow-based team by 10 wickets to move to third place in the points table. Batting first, LSG were reeling at 66 for 4 in the 12th over before Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran rescued them.

The duo shared an unbeaten 99-run stand to propel their team to a competitive total. Badoni scored 55 while Pooran remained unbeaten on 48. In reply, SRH chased down the total in 10 overs thanks to half-centuries from their openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Head scored 89 runs off just 30 balls, while Sharma was unbeaten on 75 off 28 balls.
