Nitish Reddy takes Quinton de Kock's catch

Quinton de Kock failed to impress on his return to the Lucknow Super Giants playing eleven as a stunning catch from Nitish Reddy sent him back cheaply in the ongoing game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The South Africa star was not part of the Lucknow Super Giants’ XI in their last two matches against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. In his absence, the Lucknow-based team defeated Mumbai Indians but suffered a 98-run defeat against leaders Kolkata Knight Riders.

After the tough defeat, Lucknow Super Giants decided to remove the keeper-batsman from the playing eleven. He replaced Ashton Turner in the team after Australia failed to impress in the last two matches, scoring 5 and 16 against Mumbai and Kolkata respectively.

Nitish Reddy’s impressive catch:

Quinton de Kock, however, could not score much in the comeback game and had to go for just two runs off five balls in the ongoing game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Nitish Reddy took an absolutely stunning catch at backward square leg to dismiss the dangerous Proteas batsman.

On the first ball of the third over, veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled one on the pads and Quinton de Kock hit the ball towards backward square leg. The ball seemed destined to go over Nitish Reddy’s head. However, the Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder had other plans.

Before the ball could land safely on the sidelines, he timed his jump perfectly and caught the ball with both hands. With the momentum carrying him over the sidelines, Nitish Reddy smartly threw the ball into the air, went over the sidelines, regained his balance and returned to the field of play to catch the ball again.
