Fans on Twitter reacted after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally registered their second victory of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 35 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday ( April 25th). .
Royal Challengers Bengaluru opted to bat first and openers Faf du Plessis (25) and Virat Kohli (51) came out firing. The duo added 48 runs to the opening partnership and put pressure on the opposition at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad then picked two quick wickets but it was Rajat Patidar (50), who turned the momentum in his team’s favour. The batsman added 65 runs with Kohli before Cameron Green (37*) ended the innings on a high and took the team past the 200-run mark.
Based on the collective batting effort, Royal Challengers Bengaluru recorded a total of 206 runs on the board. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers with figures of three for 30.
Sunrisers Hyderabad could not continue the chase as they lost wickets early on. Abhishek Sharma (31) He batted with positive intent but could not continue after the start because after his wicket all the big names fell.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers continued to contribute wickets at regular intervals and left the home team reeling at 124 for seven. Shahbaz Ahmed was the team’s only warrior as he played 40* runs but he could not take his team home when Sunrisers Hyderabad lost by 35 runs in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
