AB de Villiers reacts after fan makes fun of Babar Azam's English

AB de Villiers gave a befitting reply to a fan who trolled Babar Azam for not being able to speak English fluently. The former South Africa captain recently chatted with the Pakistan captain and asked him about his career, the upcoming T20 World Cup and his journey as a cricketer so far.

While Babar Azam was sharing his experience with AB de Villiers, one user decided to have fun at the expense of Pakistan’s batting superstar. Every now and then, Pakistani cricketers face trolling on social media for their inability to speak English fluently and the user decided to make fun of Babar Azam’s English as well.

“ABD is barely controlling his laughter. Babar Azam speaks in English,” the user wrote.

AB de Villiers noticed the comment and made sure to respond to it. The South Africa captain gave a brilliant reply to defend Babar Azam when he wrote: “His English is infinitely better than my Urdu. And his batting is excellent, which is what matters most, I think.”

Babar Azam on T20 World Cup:

Babar Azam will be seen in action soon in the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to begin on Sunday (June 2) with the match between co-hosts United States and Canada in Dallas. Before the competition, the Pakistan captain stated that he is happy and does not think about the future. He also said that he and his teammates are confident of performing well in the main event.

Pakistan have done well in the last two editions of the T20 World Cup and will look to do even better this year. In 2021, they crashed out at the semi-final stage before finishing runners-up in 2022. Pakistan are seeking their second T20 World Cup title and first since 2009.
