West Indies cricketer Andre Russell has made his predictions for the semi-finalists of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The great all-rounder did not name Pakistan among his top four teams for the knockout phase of the tournament, which is underway in the United States of America and the Caribbean.

The T20 World Cup 2024 has been amazing so far. The tournament has seen quite a few surprises as the partner nations have produced magnificent performances with bat and ball and caused problems for some of the big teams they have played against.

Pakistan suffered a defeat against the United States of America, Afghanistan dominated New Zealand, Scotland made England look clueless in the blowout match and the Netherlands came close to defeating South Africa, which they then won.

All of these things have happened in just 8 days and with more than half of the tournament remaining, we can already glimpse what is to come. The way things have developed, it is quite difficult to say who the final four teams will be.

Andre Russell found it easy to pick the semi-finalists for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The all-rounder went with his West Indies team, along with India and Australia. For all four teams, he chose England because he believed they did well in the Caribbean.

West Indies started the tournament on a high note. They first faced PNG and although they struggled a bit, they won the game. After that, they showed a dominant performance in the match against Uganda to make it two out of two wins.

Australia, for its part, also started the tournament on a dominant note. They also won two of their two matches, beating Oman and England, and are at the top of their group table, looking like favorites for the Super 8 stage.

India won their first match against Ireland and will face Pakistan in their second match. Meanwhile, England are under great pressure. Their first match against Scotland was canceled and they then faced defeat against Australia.

West Indies defeat Uganda by a huge margin of 134 runs

The West Indies thrashed Uganda by a huge margin of 134 runs in the Group C match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The match between the two teams took place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

West Indies got off to a brutal start with the bat as openers Johnson Charles (44) and Brandon Kings played aggressively. The duo added 41 runs for the opening partnership before Nicholas Pooran (22) stepped in with a quick knock. Captain Rovman Powell (23) and Sherfane Rutherford (22*) also made useful contributions.

But it was Andre Russell (30*), who finished the innings on top as West Indies posted 173 runs. Uganda then had a forgettable outing with the bat. They tried their best for just 39 runs in 12 overs. Akeal Hosein picked five wickets as the batsmen looked clueless against the hosts’ bowling line-up.
