Former Indian cricketer Dodda Ganesh criticized India Women captain Harmanpreet Kaur for her comments on Shreyanka Patil after the loss to Australia Women in the second T20I. Dodda Ganesh believes that blaming the young woman was not justified.
After losing the second T20I against Australia Women, Harmanpreet Kaur said during the post-match presentation that Shreyanka Patil would have made a big difference if she had bowled a good 19th over.
“I think the score was not enough on the board, but our players did very well. We took it to 19, that was the biggest positive. In the 19th over, if Shreyanka had hit, he would have made a big difference,” he said.

However, former Indian batsman Dodda Ganesh was not impressed with Harmanpreet Kaur’s remarks. The 50-year-old turned to X to hit Kaur. Dodda Ganesh tweeted that throwing a girl under the bus is not done.

Chasing 131 for victory in IND W vs AUS W 2nd T20I, Australia Women needed 15 runs off 12 balls in the end. Non-spinner Shreyanka Patil bowled the 19th over and was hit for 17 runs, being hit for 1 six and 2 boundaries.
Phoebe Litchfield scored two goals off Shreyanka Patil’s first three deliveries. Ellyse Perry later hit a six off the last ball, completely turning the match in favor of Australia Women. Patil grabbed 1 wicket for 40 runs during his 4 over spell.

Indian women piled up 130 in first innings
Earlier, India Women batted first and could only accumulate 130 runs on the scoreboard. They lost opener Shafali Verma for 1. Kaur also got out cheap by 6 runs. At 87-5, Deepti Sharma played a crucial 30-run knock to push the score to 130-8 at the end.
For the Australian women, Kim Garth, Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham hunted 2 wickets each. With a 51-run opening stand from Australian openers Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney, the Aussies got off to an excellent start in batting. Ellyse Perry later scored an unbeaten 34 runs while Phoebe Litchfield added 18 for 12 to lead Australia Women to victory.

IND W vs AUS W 3rd T20I to decide the result
Australia Women won the match by 6 wickets to take the series to a 1-1 draw after two games. The series-deciding third T20I will take place on Tuesday, January 19 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Earlier, Australia Women won the ODI series 2-1 after winning the second and third matches. They lost the opening match earlier.
