No batsman other than Virat Kohli has touched the 200-run mark in the current edition of the Indian Premier League so far. While the batting superstar had not played a competitive game for over two months, it did not affect his form much.
The former India captain hit the ground running in IPL 2024 and is currently the leading run-scorer in IPL 2024. In his first game of IPL 2024, he scored 21 runs off 20 balls as Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a defeat against Chennai Super Kings. . In the next game, the right-handed batsman scored 77 runs to help RCB beat Punjab Kings by four wickets and break the record in the tournament.
In the third game, he scored an unbeaten 82 but RCB ended up on the losing side against Kolkata Knight Riders. He was followed by a 22-run knock in the loss against Lucknow Super Giants. After failing to convert his opener into a big goal against LSG, Virat Kohli soon recovered.

In the ongoing match between RCB and Rajasthan Royals, he scored another fifty. In RCB’s 11th innings, he hit Riyan Parag for six to complete his fifty in 39 balls. During the knock, Virat Kohli also created history by becoming the first player to score 7,500 runs in IPL history.
While no other batsman has even managed to touch the 7000-run mark in IPL, the former RCB captain has scored over 7500 runs. Currently, he is the leading run-scorer in the IPL. Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan is second with 6755 runs, followed by David Warner, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina.
Talking about Kohli’s IPL career so far, he has scored a staggering 7,533 runs so far (when he was batting 67 against RR) with the help of a record seven centuries and 50 half-centuries.
