Coming back to the Desert Vipers game against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, in Dubai, the Vipers scored 164/8 while batting first. Adam Hose scored 45 runs off 30 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six, to lead the Vipers in scoring during their innings. Apart from Hose, no other batsman could generate much spin and he was dismissed after making ten or twenty runs or so.

With three wickets at the end of the innings, Ali Khan was the best bowler for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. Josh Little, Imad Wasim and David Willey each took one wicket, while Sunil Narine claimed two wickets.

Chasing the target, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders lost their first wicket with a score of 4 runs as Alishan Sharafu departed with a score of 1 run. However, Andries Gous and Michael Pepper added 85 runs for the second wicket. Pepper was dismissed for 36 runs off 25 balls and Gous continued his attack from the other end.

Sam Hain (1) was also fired shortly after Michael Pepper’s departure. Laurie Evans scored 21 runs off 18 balls and tried to provide support to Andries Gous at the other end. However, in the end, Gous ensured Abu Dhabi Knight Riders crossed the line and played an unbeaten 95 runs off 50 balls. Gous hit a total of 5 fours and 7 sixes.

The Abu Dhabi Knight Riders moved up to third place in the points table after registering a win in their first match of the tournament.
