Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has brought her team back into the game against Delhi Capitals. The 13th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will be held at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Delhi Capitals have been magnificent with the bat in the ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings. The Rishabh Pant-led team got off to a fantastic start with the bat, thanks to David Warner (53) and Prithvi Shaw (43). The duo batted sensationally well and added 93 runs together.
Following their partnership, Mitchell Marsh looked to take the game away from the opposition. The all-rounder played some accurate shots in his innings. But his stay in the crease was undone by Matheesha Pathirana’s brilliance with the ball when he made the batsman look clueless.
Matheesha Pathirana bowled a Yorker ball at 150 kmph for which Mitchell Marsh had no answers. The ball came out like a bullet and had a little bit of inward movement. In an instant she shook the stumps and sent the SUV into Vizag.
If this was not enough, Matheesha Pathirana made sure to produce a similar ball in the same over. Two balls later, he castled the stumps of Tristan Stubbs to send the batsman back to the pavilion for a two-ball duck in the CSK vs DC game at Vizag.
Matheesha Pathirana bowled a yorker of 149.5 clicks that went under Tristan Stubbs’ bat and castled the stumps. The ball knocked down the center and outside post.
