Virat Kohli, one of the greatest batsmen of the modern era, is known for his commitment to the Test format. As a member of the Indian Test team, Virat has scored runs in every country of the world. He has always said that the red ball format is his favorite.

On the other hand, Babar Azam is considered to perform well against low-ranked teams like Zimbabwe and Nepal. Babar struggled to score runs against quality attacks like India, England and Australia, where he is currently going through the difficult phase of his cricket career.

Babar also resigned from Pakistan’s captaincy post after their debacle in the ODI World Cup 2023. Babar failed to score runs in the tournament and did not bat as the number one ODI batsman.

In the Test series against South Africa, Virat Kohli scored some respectable runs in each of the two matches. Virat has become a much better batsman in the last 18 months.

With an average of 66.06 and 2048 runs in 35 games, including eight hundreds, Kohli concluded the season as one of the leading run-scorers. Additionally, Kohli was named the ICC ODI Player of the Year for his exceptional performance throughout the year in the 50-over format.

In the ODI World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli amassed 1377 runs in 27 games, including three centuries. The Player of the Tournament went to Kohli, who amassed the highest run total throughout the competition.

There is no comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. While Babar is yet to achieve many records in international cricket, Virat has already achieved many records and set new milestones.

Kohli is currently in the final years of his career and apart from being a phenomenal batsman, he was a brilliant captain. On the other hand, Pakistan did not experience any major success under the leadership of Babar Azam.

Virat Kohli is also the only batsman to have smashed 50 ODI tons in ODI cricket and hit 80 international centuries. He is one of the best players to equal Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket.
