Punjab Kings (PBKS) player Rahul Chahar won the battle against Lucknow Super Giants batsman Marcus Stoinis in the ongoing match against the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the two teams will be will take place at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow.

Lucknow Super Giants batsman Marcus Stoinis came out firing and played some magnificent shots in his innings against the Punjab Kings. He batted with positive intent and made sure to score some quick runs for his team at the Ekana Stadium in Lahore.

Marcus Stonis, in particular, targeted Rahul Chahar in the ninth over as he bowled the second and third balls out of the park. But the leg-spinner made sure to take revenge and castled the Australian all-rounder’s stumps with a spectacular delivery.

Rahul Chahar bowled a flatter, quicker delivery that skidded. Marcus Stonis tried to put the ball away but missed completely. The ball hit the leg stump and the leg-spinner shattered into pieces. Here is the video of his dismissal:

Marcus Stoinis played a stunning innings for Lucknow Super Giants against Punjab Kings. He made sure that momentum was maintained with his team at the Ekana Stadium. The all-rounder finished with 19 12-ball innings and also hit 2 sixes in his innings, batting at a strike rate of over 158.

This was the second time Rahul Chahar removed Marcus Stoinis in T20s. The batsman has bowled 78 runs against the player with a strike rate and average of 39 and 200 respectively.

With the wicket of Marcus Stoinis, Lucknow Super Giants lost their third wicket and were reduced to 78/3. The Punjab Kings have ensured that even though they get hit for runs, they take wickets at regular intervals to keep the opposition under pressure.

Earlier, KL Rahul, who plays as an impact player, scored just 15 runs and was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh. Devdutt Padikkal (9) played some superb shots in his innings but he too could not continue and lost his wicket early after an opening at home to Lucknow Super Giants.

Nicholas Pooran beats Rahul Chahar for 6,4,6 in the

The elation of taking the wicket of Marcus Stoinis turned into agony for Rahul Chahar in the next delivery. Lucknow Super Giants stand-in captain Nicholas Pooran took it to the cleaners and smashed it all over the park at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium.

On the first ball of the over, Nicholas Pooran sent the flying delivery towards the deep mid-wicket area. There were six huge ones and if that wasn’t enough, he then followed the boundary into the long region.

The carnage, however, did not stop there as on the third ball of the over, Nicholas Pooran hit another six in a row over the bowler’s head and made Rahul Chahar look clueless with his brutal hitting power.
