Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Krunal Pandya was exceptionally welcomed by the crowd during the ongoing 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the two teams took place at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow .

Krunal Pandya was one of the bright lights for Lucknow Super Giants in the match against Punjab Kings. The all-rounder produced a magnificent effort with the bat and made sure to give the Lucknow fans everything to cheer at the Ekana Stadium.

Krunal Pandya came to bat when Lucknow was slipping at 146/5 and it looked like they would not be able to finish the innings on a high. But the all-rounder had other plans as he made sure to showcase his class with the bat and lead his team to the big win.

While his brother Hardik Pandya has received boos from all sides, Krunal Pandya made sure to make the Lucknow fans sing Pandya, Pandya. The all-rounder’s cameo with the bat cheered up the crowd and made them root for Krunal for his heroics.

Krunal Pandya played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 43 runs off 22 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 145 and also hit four boundaries and two sixes in his innings. Based on his entertaining effort with the bat, Lucknow Super Giants posted a total of 199 runs on the board in 20 overs.

Apart from him, Quinton de Kock at the top played a brilliant innings and scored 54 runs. Stand-in captain Nicholas Pooran also played a vital innings of 42 runs as Lucknow Super Giants posted a total close to 200 runs at the Ekana Stadium.

I like to play situations, so I am prepared – Krunal Pandya after his innings

Krunal Pandya spoke about his innings against Punjab Kings. He said that he likes to play the situation and that he is well prepared to bat in those conditions. He expressed his dedication to the team and said that he wants to contribute to his team.

Krunal Pandya believes that they have achieved a good result on the board. But he is aware that they need to bowl well as the Lucknow pitch is completely different from last year. Speaking to the announcers mid-inning, he explained:

“I like to play situations, I’m prepared that way, I’m quite flexible, I can bat from number 3 to number 7. I just want to go out and contribute. I like to prepare and take cricket as an exam. I like to prepare, but the result is not in my hand.

“199 is a good total, if we play smart we can defend it. The surface has changed, much better than last year. Need to adapt to conditions. I need to bowl accordingly and see how it goes.”

Krunal Pandya would now be eager to make an impact with the ball in the match against Punjab Kings. He would like to take some wickets and lead his team to win.
