Sarfaraz Ahmed Trolls Babar Azam

Sarfaraz Ahmed, on Thursday (September 19), brutally trolled Babar Azam during the ongoing game between Stallions and Dolphins in the Champions One-Day Cup.

A total of five teams are taking part in the Champions One-Day Cup, which is currently underway. All the big names in Pakistani cricket are taking part in the tournament. The tournament started on September 12 and the final is scheduled for September 29.

Speaking about the incident, it happened when Babar Azam was coming out to bat and the fans were chanting his name. With the chant of “Babar, Babar” filling the stadium in Faisalabad, Sarfaraz Ahmed decided to motivate his teammates in a humorous way.

The former Pakistan wicket-keeper brazenly told his teammates to let Babar Azam bat for the 40 overs and dismiss the other players.

“Inko Babar, Babar karne do. Hum Babar ko 40 over khila denge, baki sare out ho jayenge. (Let them keep chanting Babar, Babar. We will make Babar bowl for 40 overs, the rest of the team will go),” Sarfaraz Ahmed said.

As soon as the video of the incident surfaced on social media, fans were left heartbroken. Many joked that Sarfaraz Ahmed knew that if Babar Azam batted for so long, it would only benefit his team.

Talking about the game, the Stallions were at 189/4 in the 41st over at the time of writing this report. Babar was unbeaten on 51 runs off 66 balls while his partner Hussain Talat was batting on 13. With Babar having a good start, the Stallions will hope that the Pakistan captain makes the most of it and guides them to a big score.

Earlier in the match, Shan Masood and Yasir Khan gave the Stallions a good start by putting on 76 runs for the first wicket. Masood went on 34 while Yasir went on 46. Tayyab Tahir also started and scored 33 while captain Mohammad Haris could only score 6.

The Stallions have started their campaign with one win and one loss and will be looking to record their second victory.
