Riyan Parag, who has gone through the purple streak in the ongoing IPL 2024, made sure to defend his team once again in the pressure situation. He came to bat when his team was struggling at 42/2 and got his team out of trouble and took them to a big total.

Riyan Parag first made sure to relax in the innings. But once he got his eye on him, he made sure to take the game away from his opponent. The young batsman, along with Sanju Samson (67), put pressure on the Gujarat Titans bowlers and gave their home crowd everything to cheer at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Riyan Parag looked threatening from the 1st ball and made no mistake in his innings. The batsman looked set for a grand finish to the game but his stay at the crease was cut short by Vijay Shankar’s brilliance in the field as the all-rounder took a brilliant catch.

During the fourth ball of the 19th over, Mohit Sharma bowled a slower ball with the back of his hand completely outside off stump. Riyan Parag bowled it flat and the ball looked like it would go over the boundary rope. But Vijay Shankar showed great catching skills.

Vijay Shankar, who was close to the ropes, caught the hook but realized that his feet were close to the cushions. He stumbled a little but made sure to throw the ball up. Then the all-rounder came out and hit the wings, but at that moment he had the ball in the air. He came back to catch it and send the batsman packing.

Rashid Khan admitted that he had problems with the ball in the first few matches. He said that he is not at his best yet but that he will be back soon. He explained:

The first few games I had problems with line and length. I’ve been working on getting to the right area consistently. Hard after returning from back surgery. I didn’t feel good in the first games. I didn’t have the satisfaction. I felt like I was between 90 and 94 percent today. We hope to do it 100 percent. The further you go into the wicket, the harder it will be for the dough. “We will look to have a positive mentality in the chase.” He concluded.
