India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal stole the limelight with his off-field antics. The Rajasthan Royals spinner was lifted on the back by wrestler Sangeeta Phogat, who then spun the cricketer during a recent Jhalak Dikhla Jaa party.

Yuzvendra Chahal has lately been active with his wife Dhanashree Verma, who is a contestant on Sony TV’s dance show. The player has been actively supporting his wife and asking fans for votes, which will help his wife win the competition.

Dhanashree Verma has made it to the top five remaining contestants on the show and the winner will be announced today (March 2). Sangeeta Phogat, who is among the eliminated contestants, shared a joyful moment with Yuzvendra Chahal during the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa party.

In the video that went viral on the internet, wrestler Sangeeta Phogat can be seen showing off her wrestling skills to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She can be seen spinning the cricketer on her back before landing him in a moment of light.

Here is the video:

Talking about his cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal was recently left out of the BCCI’s one-year contract. For many he came as a surprise because he was a regular member of the Indian team for the last few years. He played a vital role in the team’s famous victory and was the mainstay of the Indian bowling line-up.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been struggling to get going of late and that is why he was potentially removed from the BCCI contract list. He was replaced by Ravi Bishnoi in the T20Is and Kuldeep Yadav has preference in the ODIs. Even though he is chosen in the squads but he doesn’t have opportunities.

The upcoming IPL 2024 will be a great opportunity for him to prove his worth. He will play for Rajasthan Royals in the league and is expected to play a vital role for the team. The leg-spinner from the last seer has been exceptional in the league and would like to continue his form in the league.

I remember calling Yuzi afterwards and he was upset: RCB’s Mike Hesson didn’t pick Yuzvendra Chahal in the auction.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the senior member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. The player was not retained for IPL 2022 and the team also did not register him in the auction.

Mike Hesson, who was RCB’s Director of Cricket during that time, said he called Yuzvendra Chahal after he was not picked and the player was upset. He admitted that the auction dynamic duo did not choose him. Speaking to cricket.com, he explained:

“I remember calling Yuzi afterwards and I was upset. It was very difficult to try to explain the dynamics of the auction to him at that time. We only retained three players because we wanted to buy back Harshal Patel and Yuzi in the auction. By retaining only three players, he gave us an extra four million rupees to do so.”

Since leaving Royal Challengers Bangalore, Yuzvendra Chahal has been exceptional in the Rajasthan Royals league. He has brought out the best in himself and has helped his new team win.
