Needs to have a season like 2016: Harbhajan Singh on Virat Kohli

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh believes that Virat Kohli must be prepared to bat for 20 overs in IPL 2024. He feels that if that happens, then RCB can put up a winning performance.

Harbhajan Singh added that Virat Kohli needs to replicate his 2016 season where he scored 973 runs. The former player stated that if that happens, RCB will have a good chance of winning. Speaking to Star Sport, he explained:

“If you are really prepared to bat for about 20 overs, then you can put up a winning performance because two hundred in the accessible Chinnaswamy does not necessarily guarantee the same in Chepauk.

“It is important for him to have a season like 2016, because if Virat continues to score runs, the team will move forward. “I don’t know if they will win the cup or not.”

The first match of IPL 2024 will be played between RCB and CSK March 22nd at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
