Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer wreaks havoc in Emerging Teams Asia Cup; takes 3 wickets for 15 runs against UAE [WATCH]

His spell broke the foundation of the UAE innings, which went nowhere while batting in the first over.

A Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer starred in the ball during India A’s final match in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, wreaking havoc in just two overs. He is considered one of the most interesting bowlers at the domestic level for his accuracy and again faced the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Rasikh Salam, the right-arm pacer of Jammu and Kashmir, took three wickets with the ball during the eighth match of the tournament against the United Arab Emirates, rendering himself unplayable. He conceded just 15 runs in two overs and dismissed Nilansh Keswani, Vishnu Sukumaran and Syed Haider Shah.

His spell broke the foundation of the UAE innings, which went nowhere while batting in the first over. He began his spell with three wickets in the first over, including two in the first two deliveries before dismissing another batsman in the fifth ball of the same set.

Then in the second over, he conceded ten runs without taking wickets, but what was common was that he bowled with pace and agitated the batsmen in both overs. He always had that pace to overwhelm batters and pitched at full speed, finishing as the most successful pitcher in the game.

India United Arab Emirates restricted to just 107 after being asked to bowl first

After winning the toss, the UAE opted to bat first but the decision did not prove fruitful as the Indian bowlers won the first ball money. Anshul Kamboj started with a big wicket in the first over, and the falling wicket continued throughout the innings.

Vaibhav Arora dismissed Aryansh Sharma in the next over as both UAE openers returned to the cabin within ten balls. Later, Rasikh Salam’s spell was the final nail in the coffin, and the UAE never recovered after losing in quick successions.

Rahul Chopra played a fighting knock of 50 runs off as many deliveries, including two boundaries and three maximums, with a strike rate of 100. The captain, Basil Hameed, also played a decent knock of 22 runs off 12 balls, aided by of one limit and two maximums.

Barring Rasikh, who took three wickets, Ramandeep Singh also bowled well and dismissed two batsmen for seven runs in two overs. The UAE could only reach 107 and managed it all in 16.5 overs.
