Fold! Mohsin Khan gives a fiery farewell to Tim Seifert after dismissing the KKR batsman for a duck in the KKR-LSG clash.

LSG pacer Mohsin Khan has once again taken a maiden wicket in this edition of the IPL. This is the third time he has achieved this unique feat, and his celebrations seemed fiery against KKR’s opener.

Lucknow Super Giants have undoubtedly been one of the best bowling teams in this edition of the IPL, despite Punjab Kings scoring those big runs against them. Their bowlers have dominated batting attacks like those of Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and also Rajasthan Royals.

Especially on the black soil pitches of the Ekana Stadium, the Super Giants bowlers have greatly benefited from the low bounce and slow pitch. This same advantage has helped them this time too, against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Mohsin Khan’s fiery farewell to Tim Seifert after firing him for a duck

Left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan looked overly cheerful after picking the wicket of KKR opener Tim Seifert, who was not in his best form anyway. Seifert, in three matches, has not had the similar impact he had with New Zealand in the T20 World Cup.

Delivering the ball in the second over after a pressure-generating first over from the experienced Mohammed Shami, Khan bowled three tight balls, giving no runs away towards KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane. Rishabh Pant also wasted an early review of Mohsin Khan’s third ball when he hit Rahane’s pads in front of the stumps.

After two points for Seifert, the Kiwi looked to force one through the offside and in an attempt to do so, bowled one to short cover, with Mukul Choudhary completing the catch safely. Mohsin then gave him a fiery farewell while hurling insults at him.

Mohsin Khan picks three, including KKR powerplay captain

Left-arm seamer Mohsin Khan has found himself among the wickets despite all the LSG bowlers playing promisingly in their first spell. Mohsin scored in the first by dismissing Tim Seifert.

He returned with another quiet second and took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane, who missed a shot while looking to play him on the rise. He took advantage of the conditions promisingly at Ekana and his variations have given him an advantage.

Finally, he came back after the powerplay and hit Rovman Powell as the West Indian was late to the keeper which caught him by surprise. Mohsin picked his third wicket in his third over of the game.

Tim Seifert’s third consecutive failure; Will Rachin Ravindra move into KKR’s playing XI?

After Finn Allen, who was expected to perform well with the bat, failed miserably, Tim Seifert entered the picture. After being brought in, Seifert has two ducks in three games for the Knight Riders.

Given that Seifert was also a huge flop and two defeats in the remaining games officially left them out of the competition, Rachin Ravindra is more likely to switch for the Kiwi’s opening matches. He could be the last man KKR will turn to to solve their early innings woes.
