ICC World Cup 2023

The craze for ODI WC 2023 is growing more than ever as we can expect fascinating contests. The peculiarity of this tournament is that India is the sole host of the tournament, unlike previous tournaments. BCCI One would have to hope that the team ends the 10-year drought and wins the championship.

The opening of the tournament is between England and New Zealand as we can expect a great contest and we must not forget that the conditions are no longer unfamiliar for foreign players due to the IPL.

We cannot concentrate everything in Sur- Source BCCI

A source close to BCCI said that the board cannot focus only on the south and said that there are a total of 10 places for the World Cup as the previous MP Shashi Tharoor was quite disappointed after the allocation of places and not including Thiruvananthapuram, Ranchi and Mohali.

“There are parties in the south like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, a total there have to be 10 places, so you can’t concentrate everything in the south.” said a BCCI source

“It’s a long tournament, they could have spread the joy a little better. Thiruvananthapuram, Ranchi and Mohali should have had a chance to hold a World Cup match. It is not necessary for any place to have 4-5 parties. This is a big mistake on BCCI’s part.” Shashi Tharoor said.

If Shashi Tharoor is so interested in getting a match in Kerala….- BCCI Source

The BCCI source had a brilliant response to Shashi Tharoor’s idea and said that the stadium is not under state association and pointed out why BCCI is going to the trouble of getting additional permits.

“If Shashi Tharoor is so interested in having a match in Kerala, can he first put the stadium under the control of the state association? Why is it under the control of the ILFS and why should BCCI go to the trouble of obtaining additional permits? the BCCI source said.
