TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Match No. 46 was between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The match was a low scoring thriller as it went down to the wire, and Shubman Gill’s team took revenge for the top positions by winning the game by 4 wickets, now PBKS have lost two matches in a row.

Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first, with Nishant Sindhu replacing Shahrukh Khan. As the former also made his IPL debut, PBKS made two changes from the last match, with Xavier Bartlett coming in alongside Vyshak Vijaykumar, making way for Lockie Ferguson and Harpreet Brar.

IPL 2026: GT vs PBKS Match Result:

After being put to bat first, PBKS lost Priyansh Arya in the first over, with Mohammed Siraj striking on the second ball of the game. On the next ball, Cooper Connolly was dismissed for a golden duck, jaffered by the Hyderabad pacer. Wickets continued to fall as they lost four wickets before 10 overs.

Shreyas Iyer back after scoring 19 runs as PBKS? Half the team was behind with the score 47/5. Marcus Stoinis and Suryansh Shedge then formed a fifty-run partnership, with the latter bringing up his fifty in 24 balls. The batsman was dismissed after playing a magnificent knock of 57 runs, with Rabada taking the wicket.

Stoinis kept the runs going, but was dismissed for 40 runs, in the form of the seventh wicket for the Kings. Holder picked the big wicket and then on the next ball, Bartlett was also dismissed for a golden duck. PBKS made a good comeback and scored 163/9 in their 20 overs.

Going out to chase, Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring five runs, then Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler put up a 53-run partnership, with the latter being dismissed after making 26 runs. Nishant Sindhu did not trouble the bowlers and returned for 15 runs.

Sai Sudharsan scored a brilliant half-century off 37 balls and kept control of one end; He returned after scoring 57 runs. After that, Rahul Tewatia could not trouble the bowlers and PBKS made a good comeback but Titans took the game away on the penultimate ball with Washington Sundar playing an unbeaten knock of 40 runs.
