TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match number 36, was held in the western part of India, as Rajasthan Royals (RR) took on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the reverse match of the tournament. It was the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader. SRH beat RR by 5 wickets. This match was also full of goals.
SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first. The Australian all-rounder recovered after missing the first half of the tournament. He made a couple of changes in the match and Rajasthan played with the same team in the match. Fans come in large numbers to witness the first match in Jaipur.
IPL 2026: RR vs SRH Match Result:
After being invited to bat first, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi suffered an absolute carnage in the first over. He countered Praful Hinge, who picked him in the last match to duck. The left-hander hit him for 25 runs in the first over of the game. It was a spectacular start for the Royals. Yashasvi Jaiswal could not score much and returned after scoring 10 runs.
Later, Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel formed a good partnership, with the former raising his fifty in 15 balls and not seeming to stop continuing his knocks at a pace of over 200. He scored his hundred in just 36 balls and put the Royals in the driver’s seat.
Vaibhav was bowled out for 103 runs off 37 balls, then Donovan Ferreira played a shocking knock of 33 off 16 balls, and Shimron Hetmyer’s 11 runs were also crucial as RR scored 228/6 in their 20 overs.
Coming out to chase the Sunrisers, they once again lost Travis Head early, as the left-hander’s struggles continued, and Jofra Archer picked a wicket at first once again this season. Then, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan forged a partnership between the two and started the rampage from both ends. After the power play, they scored 89/1.
The two formed a 100-run partnership between the two. Abhishek raised his fifty in just 24 balls. Kishan also contributed his half-century in the same number of balls as his partner. Ferreira broke the partnership when Abhishek was dismissed for 57 runs. Kishan was also dismissed early for 74 runs.
After that, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy’s small impactful innings of 29 and 36 runs respectively helped the Orange Army chase the target of 229 runs with 9 balls to spare. The Orange Army does a double over the Royals in the IPL.
