Shikhar Dhawan Trolls Mohammad Rizwan

Pakistan cricket team vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 90 runs during the 4th NZ vs PAK T20I match.

While Rizwan helped Pakistan reach a total of 158/6 in Christchurch, Pakistan faced another loss in the series and New Zealand led the series 4-0. New Zealand were able to chase the target in the 19th over with 7 wickets to spare. Mohammad Rizwan scored a total of 6 fours and 2 sixes during his stay at the crease and scored many runs running between the wickets.

Meanwhile, during the third T20I match, a funny incident occurred with Mohammad Rizwan when he dropped his bat while running between the wickets.

The incident took place on the fourth ball of Pakistan’s sixth innings, Rizwan took the ball off his back foot but lost his balance while taking the shot. At first, Rizwan ran for a single off the bat, but seeing an opportunity for a double, he stretched further to cross the non-striker’s crease. However, on replay, it was found that Rizwan did not cross the line and hence it was a short run.

Shikhar Dhawan mocks Mohammad Rizwan

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan criticized Mohamed Rizwan citing the incident and shared a post under his official name ‘X’. Dhawan captioned the post, “Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi.” Dhawan compared Mohammad Rizwan’s running style to Kabaddi, a sport in which players try to score points by touching opposing players. During the game, the attacker who has to touch the defenders to score points, has to return to his side and cross the halfway line.

Shikhar Dhawan has been out of the Indian cricket team for the last few times and has not been given opportunities due to his dismal form. Dhawan’s last international match for India was during the tour of Bangladesh in December 2022.

Coming back to the fourth T20I match between New Zealand and PAK, Pakistan, while batting first in Christchurch, were able to post a score of 158/5. Pakistan team did not get off to a decent start and lost opener Saim Ayub by 1 run. Babar Azam too could not do much and came out with 19 runs off 11 balls. Apart from Rizwan, none of the Pakistani batsmen got going and came out cheap with low scores.

Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson picked up two wickets each to New Zealandwhile Adam Milne got a wicket.

Chasing the target, New Zealand were reduced to 20/3 by Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and removed the top three Kiwi batsmen. However, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips had something else in mind and took the game away from the Pakistani team. Mitchell was unbeaten on 72 runs, while Phillips scored 70*. At last, Pakistan suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the series and continued their dismal form in international cricket.

Pakistan also faced a defeat against Australia in the Test series before the tour of New Zealand, while they were also eliminated from the ODI World Cup 2023 and finished fifth in the points table.

Pakistan has a lot of problems in their team and they need to solve them as soon as possible otherwise this can be a problem for the team in the future.
