Chennai Super Kings spinner Noor Ahmad made a commanding return to form at Chepauk with a double knock to remove KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane and their most valuable player Cameron Green.
CSK didn’t see it coming when they entered their MA Chidambaram stadium. After losing three matches in a row, Super Kings needed to improve in every possible way and Sanju Samson and the bowlers simply led the way in that phase of the innings for Chennai Super Kings.
Placed at the ninth position in the IPL 2026 points table, they overcame the difficult phase and then reaped the fruits of their hard work. Noor also showed some return to his promising form from last season.

While Noor Ahmad did not have the best of seasons in the IPL this season, despite featuring as the main spinner for the Super Kings, he gave away runs at a double-digit economy rate. The young Afghan needed to respond in the tournament.
MA Chidambaram’s conditions, coupled with the confidence boost after their win against Delhi Capitals, were very positive for the players and also for Noor Ahmad. He took three wickets in this match, giving away only 21 runs in 4 overs.
A surprising economy of 5.25, backed by the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, the KKR captain; Cameron Green, the 25.20 crore cricketer; and Rinku Singh to finish. This game, of course, changed the course of the game.
