Australian captain Pat Cummins, world white-ball and red-ball champion, has revealed that Jasprit Bumrah is his favorite cricketer at the moment.
Pat Cummins made these comments recently while speaking to a local media outlet who had asked him to name his favorite cricketer in Team India. Instead of naming people as veteran hitters Virat Kohli For captain Rohit Sharma, Cummins opted for his bowling counterpart Jasprit Bumrah.

While talking to Humans of Bombay channel, Pat Cummins praised Jasprit Bumrah a lot. Cummins’ recent comments about Bumrah being his favorite Indian cricketer are not the first time the Australian has shown his appreciation for the Indian seamer.
In the past too, especially in 2019, Cummins extended his support and expressed his admiration for Jasprit Bumrah. The duo have easily been their country’s best bowlers in the recent past and are also one of the best bowlers in the world right now.
Pat Cummins had called Jasprit Bumrah a class act because of the two special qualities the latter contains. Cummins stated that Bumrah not only bowls fast but he also bowls very accurately and that these qualities actually pose a threat to the batsmen.
The Australian right-arm seamer had further praised Jasprit Bumrah for his slower balls and exceptional cricket brain.
“He is obviously a class act. Two of the basic things he does very well is that he bowls fast and accurately. Anyone who does that in world cricket will present a real challenge to the batsmen. He has a very slow ball. He seems to have a great cricket brain, executes his skills very well,” Cummins had said in 2019.
Both of them have been a part of some incredible cricket and it is indeed a pleasure for the fans to watch them bowl. While Pat Cummins was part of the Australian team that defeated the Indian team in the 2023 World Test Championship final, Jasprit Bumrah missed out due to injury.
Then, during the 2023 Cricket World Cup final in Ahmedabad, Jasprit Bumrah watched his Australian counterpart lead his nation to their sixth CWC title. Bumrah was an essential part of the Indian team that reached the finals of CWC 2023 without losing a single match in the league stage.
