There is absolutely nothing that Pat Cummins cannot do on the cricket field and he proved it once again on Tuesday during the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

The SRH captain made a stunning catch to dismiss the dangerous Sam Curran. After SRH pacers reduced PBKS to 20 for 3, Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza steadied the ship for the home team. The duo took the team’s score past the 50-run mark.

However, before they could get their team into a good position, Pat Cummins made a remarkable effort to break the partnership in the 10th over and left PBKS reeling at 58 for 4. On the first ball of the over from T Natarajan, Sam Curran hit the ball midway through the game.

At first, it looked like the ball would go over Pat Cummins’ head. However, the Australian star ran back and caught the ball with both hands after jumping into the air before falling to the ground. He did well not to drop the ball after losing control of his body. Curran departed after scoring 29 runs off 22 balls with the help of two fours and as many sixes.

At the time of writing this report, PBKS were 75 for 4 in the 12th over. They need 108 more runs to record their third victory of the season. Earlier in the game, SRH recovered from 39 for 3 to post a competitive total of 182/9 in the allotted 20 overs after Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and opted to bowl first.

SRH lost the wickets of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram in the powerplay. Players like Rahul Tripathi and Heinrich Klaasen also did not do well with the bat. However, Nitish Reddy came up with a brilliant knock, smashing 64 off just 34 balls to help his team achieve a good total.
