Rajasthan Royals stars Sanju Samson and Avesh Khan were involved in a verbal dispute after a missed catch in the ongoing game against Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
The incident took place on the 19th of BKS innings when Avesh Khan bowled for Ashutosh Sharma. The right-arm pacer bowled a full angle delivery and the PBKS batsman tried to play a big shot. However, he ended up making a mistake towards mid-wicket.
With the ball in the air, both Avesh Khan and Sanju Samson He went for the capture. However, there was no communication between both players and neither managed to retain the capture. This led to an argument between the two players, as they apparently blamed each other for the failed capture.

The catch proved very costly for Avesh Khan and RR as Ashutosh Sharma made the most of the reprieve. After being bowled, the hard-hitting batsman hit pacer RR for two sixes in the over. This completely ruined Avesh Khan’s bowling figures.
The fast bowler had conceded just 16 runs in his first three overs and had also picked up two wickets. However, Ashutosh’s two sixes saw him finish the innings with figures of 2 for 34.
Talking about the game, PBKS finished their innings with 147 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs after being asked to bat first. The Punjab-based team got off to a poor start as they lost wickets at regular intervals. At one point, they were reeling at 70 for 5 in the 13th over.
Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone then took the score past the 100-run mark before the former departed after scoring 29. Towards the end, Ashutosh’s excellent cameo helped PBKS post a respectable total. The right-handed batsman scored 31 runs off 16 balls with the help of one-fours and three sixes.
